Invitation
Dear Piping Enthusiast,
Just a reminder, that if you are in the Glasgow area for
the Worlds and/or Piping Live!, please pop into
our Bath Street
shop for some piping banter. We will be running our annual workshop in
the shop on the Thursday and Friday of the Worlds Week (11th, 12th Aug).
From 15.00 each day, you will be able to see how the bags are made and to
view our skills in wood turning. If you wish, you can get involved
yourself by selecting a skin and cutting it out - then watch us doing the
stitching. Wine and nibbles will be available so don't miss THE highlight
of Piping Live!
We are also holding fort at the Marquee outside the
Piping Centre on the afternoon of Tuesday 9th August. We have some great
turns lined up for your enjoyment including a terrific duo from the Royal Scottish Academy
of Music and Drama on small pipes and whistle. Edward Seaman and Colin
Greaves are with us for the second year and we look forward to hearing
their great music at around 14.15. Live acts kick off at noon and include
Kyle Warren, Pipe Idol and the Oran Mhor Pipe
Band. I will available during the event for any discussion or guidance on
any aspect of piping and will take to the stage myself just prior to
14.00. Admission is free so see you there!
